Where exactly is Isola?+
North of central Milan, beyond the tracks of Porta Garibaldi station. The metro stop is called Isola and it's on the M5 line.
Is Isola an expensive neighborhood?+
It depends: there's something for every budget, bearing in mind that Milan is expensive everywhere. Roughly speaking, the price ladder runs from Duomo and Brera at the top, then Isola, then the Navigli.
Is it better to stay in Isola than in the center?+
Milan is big and it has several centers: Isola is one of them. Staying here means coming home in the evening without having to travel any further, with several kinds of cooking a few steps from your bed.
Is Isola a safe neighborhood?+
Yes. It's a residential area, and the noise you hear at night comes from the nightlife. It works for families too: there are several playgrounds for children.
What is there to do in Isola in the evening?+
